Only one bill ISPLS is monitoring saw movement at the Statehouse in the past week.

HB 1014: Plan Commissions passed out of the Senate Committee on Local Government without opposition. For the purposes of the advisory planning law, the bill would require a county surveyor's designee to be a resident of the county to serve on the county plan commission, regardless of if they are a permanent designee or only filling a vacancy or serving as an alternate.

The bill now heads to the full Senate for debate.

Other bills ISPLS is keeping an eye on this session, but saw no developments in the past week:

Updates on these bills will be included in the weekly ISPLS newsletter throughout this legislative session.
