On October 21, 2017, ISPLS Lifetime Member Bob Vollmer was an honoree on the Indy Honor Flight in recognition of his service to our country during World War II. Bob, along with 87 fellow veterans, was transported to Washington, DC to visit the war memorials. Upon returning to Indy that afternoon, the veterans were celebrated with a pep rally at Plainfield High School alongside family and friends. Bob received a letter from ISPLS President Bryan Catlin, PS thanking him not only for his dedication and service to the land surveying profession, but to our nation as well.
