Indiana Society of Professional Land Surveyors Selects New Association Management Company

INDIANAPOLIS (April 11, 2016) – The Indiana Society of Professional Land Surveyors (ISPLS) has selected Raybourn Group International (RGI), an accredited association management company based in Indianapolis, to be their new management partner.

“As past president and longtime member of ISPLS, the Society has evolved to a point where a company like Raybourn Group International will allow it to continue its goals of member service, growth, and community outreach,” said Bernie Guerrattaz, immediate past president of ISPLS.

RGI has helped local, state, regional, national and international professional and trade associations thrive since 1988. They offer a unique blend of passion, expertise and partnership that will be an asset to the Society and its future. RGI will provide ISPLS with high-caliber member service, programs and initiatives designed to grow and develop the land surveying profession in Indiana.

Brian Lewis, CAE, will serve as ISPLS’s new executive director. Lewis will offer support to ISPLS’s board of directors by working closely with the president to further the mission, vision and goals of the association, collaborate over the strategic plan and coordinate the association’s annual meeting. Lewis will also help develop the annual budget, support development of committee goals and assist in many more roles concerning the association’s leadership, finances, committees and membership.

Lewis has nearly a decade of association management experience, and specializes in strategic planning, membership development, and volunteer management. In addition to his role with ISPLS, Lewis currently serves as the Executive Director for the Midwestern States Environment Consultants Association (MSECA) and the Indiana CCIM Chapter. In both 2014 and 2015, MSECA won the Indiana Society of Association Executives’ STAR Award for Outstanding Individual Program or Event. Lewis is a dedicated volunteer, having served as the presiding officer for nine membership organizations and belonging to many more.

As a not-for-profit service organization, ISPLS seeks growth and development of the land surveyor profession. Their primary mission is to provide members with a professional identity, professional guidelines and direction, educational services and promotion of interests of the profession. The philosophy of ISPLS is to encourage all who are in the surveying profession to value professional ethics in thought and deed, to maintain competency in performance of duties, to insure trustworthiness, to provide quality in work, and to constantly protect the public interest.
