ISPLS Webinar - Professional Ethics and the Land Surveyor
Two (2) Indiana Mandatory Continuing Education Units*

Holding a license as a Professional Land Surveyor is truly a privilege and an honor. However, such a distinction also carries with it obligations. One such obligation is to practice professionally and ethically. This webinar will cover professionalism and ethics from a general viewpoint, and from that of a land surveyor. In addition to reviewing and discussing published standards in Indiana and Ohio, the webinar will include discussions of some situations involving professional ethics.

Learning Objectives:
Topics presented in this webinar will include the following:
  • A discussion of what it means to be a professional
  • A discussion of the general meaning of ethics
  • A discussion of creeds, codes, and canons of ethics
  • A review of the published standards for professional conduct/ethics for Land Surveyors in Indiana and Ohio
  • Discussions of situations involving professional ethics

*A short quiz at the end of the webinar will be required to qualify for CEUs.

Speaker Bio: Anthony M. Gregory, PS
Anthony M. Gregory is a Professor of Civil Engineering Technology, and the Department Head of the Construction Science and Organizational Leadership at Purdue University Northwest in Hammond, Indiana. Professor Gregory is registered as a land surveyor in Indiana and Illinois, and provides land surveying consulting services through Gregory Land Surveying in Highland, Indiana. Tony has presented several seminars on various land surveying topics to professional land surveyors, surveying technicians, attorneys, title company officials, and real estate professionals. He has an A.A.S. degree in Civil Engineering Technology and a B.S. degree in Construction Technology from Purdue University Calumet, and a Masters degree in Civil and Regional Planning from the Illinois Institute of Technology.
